Dear Friends,

Mary K and I were watching that stupid show where famous folks travel all over and spend a fortune to find out that their ancestors were slave owners, traitors, adulterers, thieves, etc., way back in the day, and that got me to thinking about my lineage and the lineage of most of you that believe as I do.

Regardless of whom our fathers and forefathers were and what our genetic stock, all of us can trace our lineage all the way back to the creation of the world and the Potentate of the universe because we now are “the children of God” through our belief in Jesus Christ. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Romans 8:11)

Did you ever stop to think about what they call a child of the King, and how that child would be taught to act? If times were tough, you would never see a King’s kid walking around with his or her head hung down and dragging their feet in the dirt. Nope, a Prince or Princess would get up in the morning and, regardless of what the rumor mill was ladling out that day about impending doom and gloom in the kingdom, they would put on their royal robes, adjust their crowns and go out to bless the people. Why? Because dear old dad is the King and no matter how tough it gets, a King’s kid gets a pretty good inheritance if they don’t act like commoners.

When you get up in the morning, I want you to stand in front of the mirror and address the Prince or Princess that you see looking back at you with those appropriate titles, then put on your royal attire and act like the King’s kid that you are, by bestowing blessings on those that haven’t yet made the choice to become children of the King.

In His Grip,

Prince William
